The Yamaha NS-10M studio reference monitor speaker (aka NS10M) is widely popular amongst audio professionals, and is notorious for its very flat frequency response even to the point that they are not pleasant to listen to. The wants and needs of the audio engineer are different than the typical consumer, so this is a welcome thing as the NS-10M monitors will reveal the truth of mix. The NS-10M studio monitors are almost an industry standard for mixing and are easily recognized by their standout white mid-range driver.

For Sale: RANE SM 26B 6 Channel Splitter Mixer w/ Power Supply

The Rane Model SM 26B Splitter Mixer is one of the most useful, yet unusual audio products available. In its most basic configuration, it is a six-to-two line level mixer. It will accept six balanced or unbalanced line level inputs which are applied to six Level and Pan controls. An additional stereo Master Input allows a total of eight inputs. The result of the mix is sent to an overall Master Output Level control and appears at the Left and Right Output jacks on the rear. In its splitter mode, the SM 26B can take one or two line level inputs and split these to any of the six Mono Outputs on the rear. The Mix/Pan controls in this mode control the level from each of the two input buses to be applied to each Output. Internal header blocks allow the Mix Output jacks to become an independent stereo out, allowing a total of eight outputs.

The SM 26B may also be used as a six input, six output buffer amplifier in which case signal applied to Input 1 is delivered to Output 1, and so on. The SM 26B may also be used in a combination of modes at once. For instance, Inputs 1 through 3 may be mixed to the left and/or right output busses while at the same time Outputs 4 and 5 are delivering signal originally applied to the Left and Right Master Inputs while at the same time Output 6 is being driven from Input 6 in the straight through mode.

The front of the SM 26B comprises a Master Input Level control, six Channel Level controls, six Mix/Pan controls and a Master Output level control. The rear of the SM 26B provides two Master Left and Right Inputs, six Channel Mono Inputs, six Channel Mono Outputs and two Master Mix Outputs. All Inputs and Outputs on the SM 26B are 1/4" TRS active balanced, 1/4" TS unbalanced compatible.

For Sale: Yamaha RX5 Digital Rhythm Programmer MIDI Drum Machine

The RX5 has many features that other drum machines simply do not have. Aside from all of the basics, such as pitch adjustment, level control, etc., this machine also features "Attack" and "Decay" envelope controls and two levels of "Accent" for each sound, allowing you to really change the character of any of its 24 built-in sounds. The sounds range from surprisingly real and punchy kicks and snares, to gunshots, door slams, even guitar and bass samples.

The RX5 features a RAM/ROM cartridge slot for storing custom edited sounds and loading in new sounds as well (adding an additional 28 sounds to the 24 built-in). Any sound can be assigned along the top row of pads (the bottom row are preset to the usual suspects—kick, snare, toms, hats, etc.), allowing you to customize your drum kit. Make an orchestra of handclaps, bass drums, or guitars! You can create and store up to three custom drum kits.

Another interesting feature of the RX5 is its pitch envelope. There are two simple parameters: "Bend Amount" and "Bend Rate". With this feature, you can make any sound pitch-bend downwards or upwards, across several octaves. This effect can be stored as part of your custom edited sound at the touch of a few buttons.

Overall, a very unique and in-depth machine, capable of a huge variety of sounds. From the nostalgic sounds that defined 80's drum beats, to rock, metal, and electronic music. Programming a beat may not be as easy as a Roland TR machine, but it's still intuitive tap-based recording. You will have no problem finding a place for this beast in your studio.
