This is the little brother to the Famous 130 watt per channel SR9000 available in Europe only. The SR8100DC was the last model to be designed in Chatsworth California and manufactured by Marantz Japan. Following the SR8100DC, all later receivers were outsourced and sported plastic faces.
Introduced in 1981 with an msrp of $599. Features champagne gold aluminum faceplate and knobs, 70 watts rms per channel at 8 ohms and 90 watts per channel rms at 4 ohms. Marantz "Computuner" with flourescent display, 8 memory presets, clock and timer. 5 band equalizer. AM/FM, Phono, Aux, Tape 1 & 2. Speaker 1 & 2. Gold RCA jacks.
