This item was purchased from a local retail store. The store upgraded to a new survaillance system. This Everfocus EDSR1600 DVR system is in working order.
This DVR has a total 2x160GB a total of 320GB memory or each harddrive is 320GB. Since the key to open and remove the hard drives were misplaced, we can not tell if each harddrive is 320GB or 160GB. The bottom of the unit has 360GB, we are assuming each hard drive has 160GB. But then again, hard drive maybe be 320GB. Please see Q&A at the bottom of the description regarding the hard drive size.

HARD DRIVES:
Q. What is the maximum size of hard drive that the DVR will take?
A. 320 GB each hard drive. Using 2 hard drives will require both to be the same size.
RECORDING:
Q. I am recording on motion, but only getting a few hours of recording time on my Hard Drive.
A. If you are recording on motion only, you will need to activate the Permanent Record option in the Record Menu. Set Permanent Record to ON and select a lower speed than the Alarm Record speed. (If you are connected on a network, 0.5 IPS is the lowest recommended setting) After exiting from the menu, make sure that the REC light is constantly on. This feature is only available on EDSR 1600/900/600/400F with firmware version 1.09 or higher.
